A multi-agent system in AI uses multiple specialized agents, each handling a distinct subtask such as data integration, knowledge graph management, or experimental design, that coordinate their outputs to tackle problems too complex for a single model. In the context of the Allen Institute partnership, this means separate agents working across different stages of scientific investigation.
