The Agentic AI Foundation is a directed fund under the Linux Foundation established in December 2025 to govern open standards for AI agent infrastructure. Co-founded by Anthropic, OpenAI, and Block, with platinum members including AWS, Google, Microsoft, Bloomberg, and Cloudflare, it oversees the Model Context Protocol, AGENTS.md, and goose. The Foundation's mission is to ensure agentic AI evolves transparently, collaboratively, and in the public interest, preventing any single vendor from controlling critical agent infrastructure.
